Welcome to St Mary’s, Old Town, Eastbourne

We’re so glad you’ve found your way here. St Mary’s is a Grade 1 listed church rooted in the heart of Old Town Eastbourne – and in the hearts of the many people who gather here to worship, to pray, and to serve.

We are a warm, diverse and faithful community, seeking to follow Jesus Christ together and to share his love with those around us. Our life as a church is shaped by regular worship on Sundays and Wednesdays, and by a rhythm of prayer that continues through the week. The church building is open every day – a quiet, sacred space where anyone can come and simply be.

St Mary’s has stood here for centuries as a place where people have brought their hopes, their questions, and their praise. We continue that calling today with worship that is rich in the tradition of the Church of England – grounded in Word and Sacrament, beauty and stillness, music and mystery.

Whoever you are, whatever season you are at in life, we’d love to welcome you in person. St Mary’s - ancient and alive, here for Eastbourne, here for you.

Our Services are detailed on the ‘Worship’ tab above. Our church really is a Parish Church. As such it is open to residents and visitors, to the faithful and to enquirers and you are as welcome in person as you are here.
